CAM Sugar Catalogue Curator
A record digger, musician, producer, and educator, Andrea Fabrizii is one of Italy’s leading experts on cinema and film music. A boundless source of cinematic knowledge and anecdotes, he draws on more than twenty-five years spent searching for forgotten records, tapes, and stories, with the aim of preserving and breathing new life into the music and films of Italian cinema’s golden age. As Catalogue Curator for CAM Sugar, Fabrizii oversees the editing and audio restoration of music from the archive, ensuring the label’s releases maintain their renowned sonic quality. Having curated and produced numerous landmark compilations and reissues of Italian film music, Andrea has been a key figure since the early 2000s in the rediscovery and reappraisal of Italian cinema from the 1960s to the 1980s, as well as of composers such as Ennio Morricone, Piero Umiliani, Stelvio Cipriani, Stefano Torossi, Piero Piccioni, Luis Bacalov, and many others. As a DJ, Andrea has also brought this research directly to the dancefloor. Through his mixes and CAM Sound System sets, he has performed at international festivals, clubs, and radio stations, translating decades of musical exploration into immersive listening experiences.
