Names and events from a brutal and violent era, when Milan’s San Babila district was a dangerous territory dominated by figures who would later become infamous. In an event that brings together storytelling, cinema, and live sound performance, Stefano Nazzi, creator and host of the award-winning true crime podcast Indagini (Il Post), revisits one of the most emblematic episodes of Italy’s Years of Lead: the murder of Alberto Brasili. Taking place on 25 May 1975, the case inspired San Babila Ore 20: Un Delitto Inutile by Carlo Lizzani. Fifty years after the film’s release, and as part of a special event for SLAM Festival, Nazzi reconstructs the story, accompanied by Enrico Gabrielli (Calibro 35, The Winstons, Esecutori di Metallo su Carta), who will perform live the original score composed by Ennio Morricone for Lizzani’s classic film, part of the CAM Sugar catalogue. Released the year after the murder, San Babila Ore 20: Un Delitto Inutile offers an unflinching look inside the world of Milan’s young neo-fascists, set against the backdrop of a city overshadowed by political violence, social tension, and youth radicalisation: forces that left a lasting mark on an entire generation.
