Musician, Composer
Enrico Gabrielli graduated in clarinet from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Milan, where he also studied composition. His works have been performed by the Orchestra del Teatro alla Scala and other leading ensembles. Alongside his classical training, Gabrielli has built a prolific career in popular music, contributing to more than 250 recordings over the past twenty-five years. He founded Mariposa in 1999, Calibro 35 in 2007, Orchestrina di Molto Agevole in 2012, and The Winstons in 2016, as well as the experimental music series 19’40’’. He was also a member of Afterhours from 2006 to 2009. As an arranger and performer, he has collaborated with an exceptionally wide range of artists, including Mike Patton, PJ Harvey, Steve Wynn, Muse, Lucio Corsi, Baustelle, Vinicio Capossela, Dente, Morgan, Nada, Daniele Silvestri, Niccolò Fabi, Aldous Harding, Nic Cester, Mace, Venerus, Colapesce, Dimartino, Elisa, Andrea Laszlo De Simone, and Francesco Bianconi, among many others. In 2023, he arranged music for the Orchestra da Camera di Mantova during Iggy Pop’s live performance at Palazzo Te in Mantua. His film and television work includes collaborations with Manetti Bros., Pappi Corsicato, and Academy Award-winning screenwriter and director Arthur Harari. Together with Calibro 35, he also composed music for the Rai television series Blanca and Sandokan. In 2026, Gabrielli performed with Calibro 35 at the closing ceremony of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
